Andrew P. Kashevarof Building (APK), Juneau
Saturday, December 21, 2024, 10:30am-12:30pm
Embark on a journey of snowy Alaskan landscapes and creativity. Inspired by the work of Ree Nancarrow, an Alaskan artist who creates art quilts using personally designed fabric, children will have an opportunity to visit Ree's quilt exhibit in the Alaska Stat Museum and create their own landscapes using quilting materials.
This workshop is intended for children grades Pre-K to 6th Grade, but all ages are welcome to attend! Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early!

What is the Children's Exploration Center?
The Children's Exploration Center is a space within the Andrew P. Kashevaroff Building under the State Library, Archives and Museums that promotes lifelong learning among young Alaskans with a focus on early literacy and hands-on exploration of the state's unique history, culture and art. The center will be undergoing renovations in the spring to install hands-on exhibits and other elements for young learners to explore.
