Chilkat Robe: Process and Weaving Artist Talk with Laine Rinehart (Tlingit)

The Friends of Sheldon Jackson Museum invite the public to attend a Zoom presentation and demonstration with artist Laine Rinehart (Tlingit).

Rinehart will demonstrate the weaving of a Chilkat robe and talk about his weaving techniques, the individual segments of the robe, and his personal experiences with community members during weaving. He will touch upon the preparation of materials and how to source both traditional and contemporary materials.
